Ouch, I can't even make an offer. Aluminum heads peaked my interest but the windsor's I have right now will have to do for now.
Money is tight, but those sure are purdy. Wouldn't mind dropping 50lbs either.... No, I can't do it.No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.

Progress!
This week is the week, so I got a jump start on it today.
Pulled the motor/trans, removed A/C, P/S, booster/master cylinder. Dropping the motor out of the Mustang tomorrow, and hopefully dropping the 5.0 into mine same day. Then the focus will be finishing the Mustang, and hopefully get mine mostly complete by the end of the week.
Notice both broken motor mounts. Lucky for me I have a parts car! When the time comes to paint, I'll be pulling the motor back out. I figure I will throw some solid mounts in at that time.
Also, check the FS section, I am throwing up a almost complete 5-speed swap kit. 190k on the transmission, vin matches my car for mileage verification. All you will need is a master/slave cylinder and new CSB!No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.

Good news and bad news!
Good news, the Mustang is on my lift now and I am about to make the first incision.
Bad news, I couldn't find my camera's flash card this morning..... I'll go out and grab my back up at lunch. (House sitting this week, so I only had the one disc with me.)No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.

Dropped the motor and trans out of the Mustang today, and discovered that I made my oil pan about 1/8 inch too shallow.
I'm just going to "massage" it a little bit with a dead blow.
Anyway, dropping the 5.slow into the E30 in the morning! Everything looks stock on the bottom end, which is fine because that still means forged pistons. No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.

Engine mounted in there. A little pissed that I cut off the heater core fittings, but I wanted to make sure I only had to drop it in once. First try.
Note: The intake is just resting there for dramatic effect!
Changed the valve cover gaskets, figured I'd snap a photo of what we're working with.
Anyone have any suggestions for a shift boot? Stock is out of the question, this is after notching the shifter.
