I was very nervous about all the sanding of the wheels, but I took it slow used 320grit wet paper and it came out better than I hoped.

In primer, i used a darker primer to make the final color darker. When these are next to factory wheels the dif is subtle but noticeable.:

I was able to get some color on most of the wheels today, as well as swapping out my shocks, and shock mounts. I added the shock tower reinforcement plates made by Pottsalot, Thanks again man they are nice. I painted the plates, made gaskets to go on the plates, and put it all in. It was a busy day. I spent all morning at my fathers sanding and painting, then went to my garage where the car is stored to do the shocks. I am very lucky to have a garage, in my town just a few blocks from my father and my apt. So here are a few painted picks. I have about 10hrs of sanding, and a few hours in painting these wheels. I know, they are 14" caps, but right now, wheels are low on the list of priorities. I do plan to get wheels at some point, but right now this car needs a suspension overhaul, so unlike so many others, I put that at #1 on my list.

Ask away if you all have any questions, or comments. Pics are wheels w/o clear on them btw

Pre-wet sand post for pics with flat center caps. Caps fit "ok". Let me know what you all think.....

So today I finished the current project. THe wheels are done, and all I would suggest is set a lot of time aside and give more time for the paint to cure. Mine are a good job, but when you look close you can see some imperfections. I also spent some time on the suspension. Which gave me hell last night. Today it was submisive and let me fix the issues. SO this week this thing should be back on the road after mounting the tires and an alignment!

So some other things I did, was swap DS tail light, which had a minor chip, clean up HU wiring, and install my volt meter. I must say after the rear suspension overhaul, it is like a new car. I was hopeful that the results would be good, and they were. Maintaince is a must and makes a great difference.

Had a chance to get a pic of the volt meter Jaywood makes after I installed it. I enjoy the data even if some don't get the reason for having it.

Waiting on some new parts. 3 spoke wheel and I'm ditching the tan kicks for a black set.

Got my wheel in swapped that a few weeks ago. Same 3-spoke, but I like it. Today I did the kick panel swap, from tan to black. Its a subtle difference, but I like it. I have to still swap my trunk lid for one w/o a light, as well as my sealed to elips.

Car is so dirty right now, it needs a total detail. I also adjusted the trunk so now it closes, and there is no gap. The gap can be clearly be seen it the previous picture.

It def may have been, I have been in that area before. Thanks for the compliment. I did just buy a used black top from a member on here, and entire antenna wire harness, and z3 antenna to fix my hacked one. None of that has gone on the car yet. I have been getting some parts together here and there. Only update is this cup holder, which I may swap out for the fiberglass console ones that are for sale on here.
