Burned the bushings out Thursday and put the new ones in the freezer. Wifey and I are away this weekend for our 3rd anniversary so pause on the car till Tuesday. Slow but I love fixing this car.

So this weekend we got the rear wheel bearings out, and the brake dust covers off. Hubs had to come out first. on to sand blasting and paint.

SO I have been doing slow work and ordering parts. Unlike my red car this project has gone outside of what I wanted which means......LOTS more $$$ spent than I anticipated, but I don't care. I would spend what ever it takes on this car. Few pics, more to follow. Blasted the rear frame, bought a compressor, media, blaster, paint, blahh $$$ WHO CARES thanks for looking.

Looking good. No project worth doing EVER stays within the intended scope.

this is true. Its a fun learning experience, and has kept my father in law busy when I'm not around as well. He has been a big help, and that is who we see sandblasting in this picture.

time for a pic update! So my father in law has done some work for me. He blasted the dif and went to town with the paint. I wanted some silver on the dif, but for now I need to get this car rolling for some undisclosed reasons.

The first stack of parts soon to be overshadowed by my next order.

I have a lot in store for this car, and much will come further down the line. Here are some pics of my daily driver.

Slipped those sub frame bushings in today. If it took 10min that was a long time. Used some "lube" and a C-clamp. Viola, on to the next thing.

Well I got back to work today with my father in law. The stack of parts grew....

So now we needed to put them into this.........

So here is a bit of what we did....

                              Thanks pottsalot!!
Now the front brakes, man were those FUBARED!

                              Finito!

Next that pesky rear end we all love! Rebuilt, all new gaskets, Bish was clean in there,

Its important to note, we did sandblast the rusty areas of the undercarriage, and remade the 2 rear heat shield brackets. We then used a rust stop paint, after cleaning everything, and used a real spray gun and sprayed the entire under carriage. Also did some engine bay work. New air filter, some cleaning and arranging of misc crap. Also did new trunk shocks so that now stays open. I do have all the TB & WP parts. I am going to call the PO to see if those were done recently.

Well I have had a bit of a setback as some know. I had a crap mechanic press in my bearings, ruined those, and then decided to cut my new rear dust shields. Kind of made me depressed and super pissed so I have not looked at the car since. Next week I will get back on it. I have not decided what to do yet, but when I do I will either order parts, or do some installing and see how it goes.
