I just want to comment and say you are doing one hell of a job on this track car. I'm also really glad you posted that site you got the panels from because I could not remember for the life of me what it was called. I'm still a little sketched out since all there money is in czk.. Did you just do the conversion and pay with credit card or paypal?

Reason I'm asking is I had to part out my e30 drift car.. Kinda have a pic in sig... Over a year ago now to buy a house and now that I have the house I'm building a new drift car witch is an e36 LSX swapped.



Also.. You will wanna cut more out of the foot well area go higher.. You need to account for suspension when it is compressed at full lock.

I have been contemplating something similar to this for my e30, but im having a hard time imagining chopping it up and drilling a bunch of holes in a clean e30. mite have to pickup a beater and do work. cant wait to see finished product, keep up the good work!

It's nice for what you pay for it, but like he said, it's racecar quality. So...........FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, don't jack your car up. Option two.....get a different one and do this. He had some quarter panel fender issues so this was a great option for him.

i see you purchased all of those parts from overseas, how is the fitment? I am looking to get a few parts from them. What was the stimeated time of arrival once order was placed?

I'm really liking the build though, even got me considering one of the Pesch M3 kits. Did you weigh any of the original panels vs the pesch panels? Would be great to know how much weight you've saved, especially in the front end.

it's just a daily. it has hail damage and stuff. not euro worthy, euros also paid for all my fiberglass stuff. just gonna budget 24v and 5 lug it and call it a day.

Never really weighed anything. All their weights are on the site. I have a weight of my car previously and will compare when it is done.

Big update with APEX fitment coming when I'm not lazy. This project is on a little pause while I get the DD e30 running. I took the subframe and trailing arms out of this car to put on it. I'm gonna do a fresh adjustable subframe for this, the one that was in it never really aligned good toe-wise.

if your quarters are fine, just get normal flares.

cut old arches out, pinch together, weld, grind, seam seal, paint, mount flares. that's all. even less work up front.

Thanks for all the replies! Im stuck between the KA extra wide flares and the M3 body panels.

Decided how much work you want to do.........it'll make the choice much easier.
