Not bad. I have no more excuses as to why I can't do things aside from the chest area. Still have a few broken bones that are mending, but even they feel better.
I went to the gym the other night to assess what my body would allow, and I can basically do nothing that involves lifting weights, as it puts too much stress on my wrist, knee, and sternum. I can do core and drink water, but I can't do very much in terms of "weight lifting" Even push ups are a big nope right now.
But I can walk just fine, I look pretty normal, and if you didn't know me prior to the accident, you would make no assumption that anything is wrong with me.
I haven't "worked" in 6 weeks but I should probably start next week. I don't know how corporate hasn't said much regarding my leave for this long. I really do wonder where I will end up with this job; for a few reasons.
But otherwise, I'm ok. I think I'm good enough to surf though. I'll try this weekend.world renown Harry Potter expert

The at-fault driver held the state-minimum liability insurance. On top of that, I found out that my underinsured coverage was less than stellar (something like $30k). I had full coverage for 100k/300k limits, but when I created the policy, I didn't fully understand certain things, one of them being the importance of uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. Tough lesson learned.
To make matters worse, I did some research on the at-fault driver. They live in a small apartment in a very rough part of town in which the demographic is primarily asian/black. Coupled with a few more variables, it's safe to assume that this driver has no assets worth going after. A lawsuit would prove fruitless as she would simply file for bankruptcy and be relinquished of all debt at the expense of her future purchasing power/credit score.
In short, there is no "winning" for me. I've accepted it.Last edited by phreshkid; 07-06-2015, 09:54 AM.world renown Harry Potter expert

This, unfortunately is not in the cards.

life sux right now for you and i am really sorry for the turn of events over the last month or so. certainly it hasn't gone your way.
keep in mind that you do have a lot to be thankful for though. you are alive and will fully recover. there wasn't anyone else in your car with you when the accident happened, so no one else was hurt or worse.
of course it is going to be a financial loss which also sucks. think steve austin. you can build it better, stronger. and faster next time.
keep your head up bud. it all gets better from here.sigpic

Ripped into this old girl today. Lots of things are damaged/didn't make it. The motor being one of them. Or rather, part of the motor.
Here, let me show you.
Carnage begins
So many things are not what they should be in this photo
At least the radiator survived
I could definitely reuse that valve cover and timing cover. Take a look at that crank pulley. holy balls.
Rear stuff survived. Needs a deep clean.
IE dizzy didn't fair so well.
We will be together one day, shining with chrome in Valhalla.
The good stuff
Toasty front end. Very toasty.
Strut tube is now a noodle
Engine is out, take a close look at shift selector rod. Looks wrong.
Good from far, but far from good:
You were my girl. We did stuff together. Now you're just somebody that I used to know.
Sadness envelopes my soul. I'm going to the flat track races.world renown Harry Potter expert

What's the automotive equivalent to that? Go test drive a new i8? Sure, she costs too much, and you're not going to take it home mom, but what the heck - it'll take your mind off things for a bit. Plus, maybe they will even have free hot wings!Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment
