For now just stock rebuilt calipers and good rotors and pads. I'll be upgrading to a bbk soon hopefully I just haven't made up my mind on which one to get -
Freshly welded bimmerhead cylinder head just came in! Just waiting on main and rod bearings to ship so the machine shop can finish up the bottom end so things can start to get serious

Awesome! I thought about going with a 3.1 but I got a good deal on a forged 81mm crank. Ill be ordering a ms2 soon hopefully, are you doing wasted spark? And I deleted the abs because it never worked and I would have needed all new sensors and probably more.Leave a comment:

Looking good. I am working on my 3.1 stroker turbo iX this spring too. Just trying to get my MS2 working right now. Why did you remove the ABS?Leave a comment:

Waiting on some more parts so I decided to clean the brakes up a bit

Nope that was including the core, I thought about rebuilding mine also but the more I looked into doing that, it seemed like nobody wanted to rebuild them. And I heard horror stories about splitting and reattaching the caseLeave a comment:

Is that including the core? Or did they give you money for that? I ask because I was considering buying another manual and rebuilding it myself. My transmission shifts good and I have no issues other than the infamous Getrag rattle. But if I bought a rebuilt one I don't see the point of rebuilding my old one and if the price is cheaper with the core than that is even better.Leave a comment:

Ya that's what I thought, I wasnt playing a guessing game and spending 800 on a used one that will have bad synchros in another year. And since reliability is my number one goal, I expected this build to be expensiveLeave a comment:
