Yurp. It's a no-start deal. Guy had to move from his apt in 6 days, didn't have time to fix the car. Said it was a no-spark situation. I did some trouble shooting and got spark and fuel....but still no start. Think it's probably flooded now. So I'll break out the ATF and spark plug socket tonight.

The main fuse block under the hood was missing the lead from the battery, so nothing was getting power.

All in all it's a surprisingly simple car. I can't wait to get it running. I've fantasized about them for over a decade. Granted I wanted a FB with a nice ducktail spoiler, but for $500.....I'll take the FC.

Fail for no turbo II. Enjoy hanging out with the eta crowd. :-P I still miss my rx-8 occasionally. Rotaries are a lot of fun. Looks like a nice one to start with.

Have you considered pushing it down a hill or dragging it behind a truck or something to start it? I flooded my rx-8 once so I pushed it down a steep hill, popped the clutch in second, and it roared to life. Also try the windex method.

Reading on it, seems that's the last resort.

I genuinely think the kid flooded it, then didn't know where to go. Started troubleshooting and got in over his head. I'm going to try adding oil to the chamber tonight....then maybe get a friend with a truck to come over and gimme a pull.

I can't wait to drive it. Need to hang all the belts and put the cooling system back together.

When I was growing up my grandfather raced an FB for many years, he absolutely loved the thing. Later on my aunt picked up a Turbo II FC that looked just like yours except for the hood scoop. That car apparently scared the hell out of my grandfather! All that being said, I'm a huge RX-7 fan.

Guess you won't get to see the Wankel burnouts.

              So sad.

I'll take any kind of burnout at this point.

                          So.......rotor heads....here's my quandary.

I've got spark. I've got compression. I've got fuel.

WTF else would keep this damn thing from starting?

It's not flooded. I've checked the timing...it def was off as someone was dicking in there, so I *think* I've fixed that. Going to hit it with the timing light to see if it's firing correctly or not.

                          Also....the sunroof opens. It's amazing.

check spark gap maybe? ive had a no start due to the plugs gapped too large. also, depending on how long the car was sitting, critters living in the exhaust can plug it up. just throwing out random ideas to fix a random no start lol

Just a guess but I think it's because you're missing a few cylinders...
