Don't get steel, you want something softer than the pivot arm but harder than the plastic one. I've got a brass one, I will just send it over next time.Comment

Long overdue update. I haven't been able to get out and help my cousin, but we have finally found someone else willing to help out. Got these pics from him.
It will all be getting dropped in soon, but we forgot to buy the 5 speed shifter plate from Ireland engineering
We still need to find someone to deal with the megasquirt but luckily were back at it.Simon

Well, your definition of soon VS my cousins definition of soon are slightly different. Got another update today, as usual long overdue
Looks like the Ireland Engineering motor mounts worked just fine

Much to my wife's chagrin I had a nice car filled weekend in NorCal and that meant I got a little more work done on this little monster.
Main goals were to get the downpipe ready for welding and try to plumb the intercooler.
Got started around 7pm, worked until about 10 and then finished the day ordering parts for the next session
I chopped up a large pipe that was mandrel bent and welded up to create the downpipe. Then we ordered the td06 flange.
Also clocked the turbo outlet too face down so it can go into a 90° hose, then a 270° hose to go into the front mount intercooler that will sit behind the grille. On the other end, another 270° hose and a straight pipe ( where the BOV will get mounted) finished off with a 90° hose into the throttle body. I had to order the hoses
Overall I was pretty satisfied. He's already ordered a ton of suspension and brake components from Ireland.
Super sexy!

Thanks, we've been anxious to finish it but we want to do it right and not cut corners
Got some updates from my cousin. Minor stuff but progress is progress
I got another one with the wheel, but I can't share that yet...
The intercooler looks like it's coming together and the one straight pipe will make a nice place to install the BOV

you going to use the silicone tubes coming off the intercooler? Are you worried about blowing off one of those hoses when this car starts driving? I could see a silicone hose easily coming off while your driving, only cause i've seen it in the past. Any possibility of welding on aluminum pipes to a point and then using the silicone or is it not necessary because not so much boost?Comment
