            I'll second that notion. Each of my poor e30's needs some little thing. But nooooooooo...

              When I got the car the previous owner had already removed the chassis wiring harness. He tried to label most of the connectors, and did an OK job of it but some of the label are definitely wrong, and others missing altogether. No worries, I know what every connector goes to by heart.

              As dumped out of the 30gal container it was in, all balled/knotted up:


              Took about 30 minutes to fish it around itself and untie it, lay it out like it would be in the car.



              The immediate underdash portion:



              Overall the harness is in great shape. I only found a few damaged wires that need attention, and a couple perished connectors that must be replaced.

              To do list:

              Replace brake lamp switch on pedal box, connector crumbled.
              Replace/rebuild reverse lamp harness, cut by driveshaft?
              Repair differential speed sensor connector, wires snapped off.
              Remove old wrap and rewrap engine bay portion of harness with new OE cloth tape.
              Replace ignition switch sub harness, was hacked into for an alarm?
              Delete all SRS system wiring.
              Delete/pair down Cluster > OBC harness for euro clock conversion.
              Remove speaker wires etc from radio harness, harness hacked up from typical prior radio install.

                  Heh.. yeah wiring to this extent is either something you're comfortable with, or something you're nope nope nope about. Its all pretty simple at the end of the day, it is an e30 after all.

                  Most of the engine bay portion of the harness has been skinned and rewrapped with new tape. I have another 2ft or so to the fuse box that will have to wait as I ran out of tape.

                      That looks fantastic. I really need to pull my harness out like you have there. It would make cleaning it up so much easier.

                        Even though you are going for almost full OE with this build I really wish you didnt use the hockeytape :P Id have used proper sleeveing.

                            Last night I drove to the paint shop and picked up most of the loose parts, I then had a very chill drive home as not to jostle the parts into one another.





                            The chassis shell should be in paint today or tomorrow. So excited :-)
