Yes! I'll get some pictures and details up soon. I'm taking some classes and they started up two weeks ago so things will slow down a little bit but hopefully not too much. Motor is still on the stand and will be for a bit as I accumulate more parts. The "to buy" list is as follows:

Clutch/flywheel kit- I'm looking at the ebay fx racing/sachs single mass conversion. I saw kronus used it in one of his cars so it's gotta be at least somewhat legit
Engine and drivetrain refresh bits and bobs (need an accessory belt and some other small gaskets)
Spal Pusher fan and associated wiring
Need to figure out what how to modify the stock e36 exhaust still (plan to change out that huge OEM muffler for something with a bit more grumble)
    wiring harness modifications
    dme flash

As much as I want to do the wiring myself, I don't think I reasonably have the time between the 70 hours of work and class I've got per week so I'll be sending the harness out to get modified for the swap. I've been shopping around a bit but haven't committed to anywhere yet. If anyone's got any recommendations I'm all ears.

I've also got some 5 lug swap/bbk stuff in the works
The pick and pull gods left a 318ti at my local yard two weeks ago and I snagged the trailing arms. I've been doing some brake bias calculations and If I'm not mistaken, e36m front brakes with non m e36 rear brakes gives a similar brake bias to stock e30, right? I think I got 7.6% front bias with e36m fronts and non-m rears. I may be totally wrong because I was using an SAE calculator and switching between a lot of tabs without writing anything down.

            Daily'ed Sedan build: 1986 325

Had a whole team helping on engine pulling day.

Then I threw in some fresh konis in the rear. Accidentally dialed them up rather than down so the daily commute has been a bit juddery and I’ve been too lazy to dial em back down

Just doing some inspections. Managed to clean a lot up this weekend but my phone died and it was dark. Will def snag some actual photos this coming weekend

And then here it is next to my coworker/friends 4runner that currently has a blown hg and is awaiting a new engine. We found out the 22re dropped a valve at one point and left some big chips in the block and on the piston so he’s just swapping it out.

Here is my friends e36 m3 that he’s prepping to be a canyon carver/track car.
I’ll get real pics on swap progress up soon!

Bonus dog pics since were doing that now:

My moms dog we got when I was in high school

            The pup I live with

My old Porsche boss’s dog, ratchet, being all squinty

Even when that 911 is a targa and dropped a valve during a PPI later that week...

Alright, major update: Due to a number of issues, I sold the car. I sold it to a freshly licensed kid who races sprint cars, so this e30 will definitely continue being modified/driven. I still have the m52/zf320 and a number of other parts I planned on installing on the sedan that I am now saving for the next e30. I'll be looking for an early coupe shell pretty soon. In the meantime I'll get a new thread going with progress on the motor/other e30 stuff I'm working on.

I took the car out on it's last voyage under my ownership up to Sonoma to pick up a new mountain bike. It was a glorious day

I liked your car. It looked like it wanted an M30. Stoked to see what you end up with next! I'm picking up another iX this weekend.....you should 24v swap an iX.

it definitely wanted an m30 more than the m52 I had for it. I think that's part of why I got rid of it. I initially wanted to swap an m30 in but someone got to the parts car I had in mind before I did.
Another ix?! I thought you were trying to get rid of those lol. If they ever popped up in CA I'd consider giving it a shot but they practically don't exist in CA. I may have already found the next e30 as of today.....minor drawback is that it has drum brakes..

Drum brakes are an easy fix! I've got a full disc brake rear assembly I can sell you for cheap, but shipping would be killer.

I've always heard Cali is void of iXs. Surprisingly, I've sold a ton of iX parts to central/southern California. If you found one I think it'd be a blast (and also expensive for no real benefit over a RWD car with a ton of added hassle).

And yeah, I really shouldn't keep buying them but they're all cheap so I can't say no.

OOf! yeah shipping would be super gnarly. E30's pop up as part outs around here a fair bit so finding the stuff wouldnt be too hard..this car I'm looking at being an m10 car makes me think about m30s again...lol flipty flapping around here.
