Today I got a little work done.
I installed the MHW smoked corners
Bumper off

No more crappy connectors :) I wired in some oem connectors to go with the OEM buckets

Bumper off

All shrink wrapped and taped together

Bumper back on, corners installed

MT2 Valence on

I finally bolted down the spoiler
Double sided tape

Installed

It still lifts on the edges so when I fix the rear bumper I will be fixing this too
Taking the lights apart to install the crosshiars and smoke them

Then disaster struck. My first real boo boo on the car. I am so dissapointed

Thats it for todayComment

This was a funny thread to read through. I laugh at people hating on bondo. and your prodject. trust me most body shops dont care about how much they fill, unless the person is really into pride, witch anymore you dont find that these days. the bondo wont crack if you apply it correctly. looks rad! good jobmost body shops use little anvils and body hammers to roll and knock the dents out, fillers (like bondo) are usually only used to fill imperfections if the body was creased and couldnt be repaired 100% and 1/4" is pretty deep. you should expect some cracking within a few months if you bondo'd big dents

Awesome work man, the car has def come a long way and is looking great. I am confused on one thing: how come the car had DBs but it had the late model tails?Comment

Man I'm impressed. Awesome Work!! And very tastefully done, IMO. I really like this car. You put a lot of work into this, and it really paid off. I read the whole thread last night (read: studied less for finals) and it was totally worth it. So is there an S5x going in now? I'm tuned in. This is one of the more interesting projects I've seen.Comment

The 1988 cars (which I assume this is) have late model tails and DBs. These diving boards can easily be converted to plastic bumpers, whereas the early models cannot be easily convertedComment
