I can't believe a fuel tank replacement and a diff swap would take the majority of the day

This place is like catholic school, 2/3 of the students smoke weed on a daily basis, but the faculty seems to convince the outside world that drugs are just in the other schools, the resident pot dealer thinks he's cool because he has the originality to call anyone he doesn't like a homosexual, and most of the little children follow him like sheep, then there's the few with brains, you hardly ever hear from them, perhaps don't even know they exist, but they get all the sh!t done.

Two days ago, I swapped the heater blower assembly in the wife's E36. (It's easily twice as hard as the E30.) It quit working later that night. I'll be torturing myself with it again Saturday......"I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death."

I blew the clutch before the holidays and had it towed from CT to my shop in MA:
It wasn't just the clutch. It needed a new clutch and ltw flywheel setup, and a new transmission. I got this email from my friend and mechanic who fixed it:
Went pretty well. Will deliver it down on Friday night. That trans was FUCKED. No first or reverse. Stripped 3rd synchros, and stuck in fourth really bad.
Clutch was all seized up from sitting after the e36 accident. Was grabbing a bit even with the pedal in. Totally wasted.
Smooth as million grit sandpaper now. After polishing the input shaft with emery cloth and scotch bright it was soooo shiny that I actually gave it a thorough job with a brand new tin of Cape Cod Polishing Cloths that I got yesterday.
Then I did it again today when I got the second transmission.
Hopefully I can go for a while now without dumping too much more $ into it.

well since i just got my e30 a couple weeks ago, i haven't really had much time to work on it. But in the past week i started the shadowling and shortened the diving boards, looks ten times better! started working in the engine bay 2 days ago where the PO ran the power steering pump dry and blew it up, replaced that. When i got the car it had a little miss so i went and got some new spark plugs for her. Figured while they were out i would get around to doing a compression check. The haynes (sp) manual says they should be between 142-156, luckily they were all 150 and 160! definitely put a smile on my face. Anyways, step by step shes coming together, hopefully i'll have some decent pictures up soon. My first e30 and i'm already pretty excited

In the process of swapping out the dash for a crack free one.
Quite the pain in the ass. Had problems with the headlight switch last night. It killed the battery on the way home. So I parked it, tried to start it, engine couldnt even turn over.
I go out there today to check a few things, decide to see if it would start, and it fires right up. It literally just came back from the dead. I was impressed. My previous build (currently E30-less)
