What did you do to your E30 today?

They are aluminum and were chromed from factory. Since I stripped them I know for a fact it is chrome and not anodized or clear coat, the coating is way to hard for either anodized or clear coat.

Odd.. maybe mine were stripped previous to me buying the car.. thanks for the info though :)

Chrome? You have steel bumpers? Mine are aluminum.. no coating.. just super tarnished.. the rear is corroded from salt water and the carriage bolts punched through so I'm gonna go get it tig'd lol

Stripped the chrome off and polished the bumpers and window trim.

I havent repolished (touch up) them this year yet so they arnt nearly as shiny as they can be in those pictures.

Stripped the chrome off and polished the bumpers and window trim. Here is the DIY I made.

Replaced the outer tie rods that I have had for 2-3 years in my bedroom. Also gave it a good wash to get the tree pollen off of it.

Not today but Saturday I replaced my struts to bilstein HD and refreshed me steering and suspension (cabs, tie for ends inner and outer, links) and new LCA bushings. Installed my new tires and now need to align.

Took a hammer to the rust.. got Bondo glass and some mesh to patch the holes in the trunk.. the wheel well will need to be welded..

Finally did an oil change with the Schwaben fluid extractor and finally installed the windshield washer nozzles so it will be able to pass inspection.

replace instrument cluster bulb to led



remove antenna and plug it up

Replaced the neutral safety switch on my automatic. That roll pin wasn't exactly fun to press out.
