    K, that's filled in -

It's pretty smooth, and basically even from side to side at the height it needs to be, but a little bit of sanding to make it smoother at the edges and a couple spots in the middle, then some glaze.

Didn't do anything today besides get a job (which is funny, because i haven't even filled out paper work yet, but im coming in at 9 on Monday..) and received my master cylinders from the oops guy.

Well shit. I was about to take some pictures of what I'm trying to do, but my camera just took a dump. Works fine, except for taking pictures, like the CCD or whatever inside is fubar. Check this out, the only way I could get any color other than black was facing it at a light. This is a garage florescent fixture with the flash, without the flash its actually even darker and just looks like a faint grey smudge.

Any ideas? Or should I try to get another camera? =( It's a Canon S1 IS

Seems Canon will fix it free with free shipping both ways since it's a recall. Its an old version camera though, and I've noticed accounts where Canon tries to push off refurb updated cameras for more than ebay price. F That. If theyre not going to fix it, my upgrade better be free too.

I drove all day yesterday so today I've been slowly moving around and dead tired. I think I'll do something other than sand the fuse box area/whatever else I should be doing for now and start drawing lines all over some paper...for my wiring harness.

FWIW, I was going to take a picture of the incredibly tight fit I have to work with for my 02's steering column. The dual brake master cylinder idea will work, its just that I'm going to need to get a little more creative with EXACTLY where I place the bracket, otherwise it will interfere. I did find though it would have probably been better if I had bought the straight tilton bracket, instead of the MC's tilted at 45 degrees. The steering rod will be very close between them, but with them angled, the caps that lead to the reservoir take up space between them so it forces them to either be angled more out into the engine bay (to an extent) or lowered closer to the pedal box (easier to do...except...). The problem with getting them closer to the box though is how the original brake pedal will cooperate to give it full throw without going over-center. I think once I get them in a decent location (which I'll do at least the first one as) I'll build it so it will work for the angled OR straight bracket. Later, I may make a different design to make use of the other bracket.

Well I had my first day at the job today, and its nice. I enjoy it. I just won't be able to work on the car at all basically monday through thursday, and friday I work too, but dont have classes till like 10pm. Basically getting me $$$ but only allowing me to work on Friday (some) and the weekends. That's why the thread won't be always getting daily bumps. If I can bring my car to the classes, that would be cool, but I think they are redoing something so students cars cannot be stashed there for any real length of time. Kinda hard to move the car the way it is now anyway, but we'll see. I need projects to work on in class "lab".

Focus on getting it to where you can drive to and from class?

                  No way man.

I dont think you understand the depth of this project. There's NO running gear or electrics in the car, the suspension has yet to come entirely off. All of the bodywork and painting will be done before it drives. And soon. I want to paint it next semester. MAYBE.

                    Well your right.

                    I didn't understand.

                    Either way, do work son.

No worries. This thing is going down to the shell, and the bodywork done asap while I can this semester I hope, even if I have to at home....

This weekend is one of the unusual ones where I had a class Saturday as well, so its only leaving me wth just sunday, ~72 hours of school/work together this week... so I'm exhausted. I am however doing something somewhat useful, drawing up my wiring diagram as much as I can for now in MS Paint. It has just enough functionality to look good...

                          Just barely started...

So, I still need to send in my stupid camera. Wow its been a long time.

There is still some progress though. The car is now in Rohnert Park (as of a couple weeks ago actually) and is getting a roll bar welded in, along with a couple other little things. Like a new parcel shelf made from aluminum to replace my miserable welded patch and remaining gaping speaker hole on the other side. I don't have pics of the progress but I do of the rear shock tower reinforcement and shelf. The front heater box hole was also welded up. Something I could have done but didn't want to deal with.
