      Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator.

Its basically acts like you're fuel pressure regulator, but kind of holds the fuel untill enough PSI is built up and then lets it flow to the injectors. At least thats how I understood it. Maybe someone else can chime in with a more accurate description.

Its also known as an FMU.

You seem a bit ignorant on the interplay between CR and Boost.

Lower CR motors "respond" well to boost because there is much more safety margin for bad tuning vs higher CR motors, which are much easier to detonate with bad tuning.

I've always wanted to run a high comp, low boost setup for more off boost torque AND since you are running lower boost you get to full boost more quickly. And theoretically the higher torque means the motor is "punching" harder so the turbo should spool up faster as well. But high comp + boost means you have to have excellent EMS and fantastic tune.

thats a pretty accurate description. there is a vacuum line going to it, just like the fpr. when the vacuum turns to boost it pulls down a diaphragm according to the boost. there is an adjustment screw that puts more tension on a spring so you can set it for however much boost you are running.

Have you found the intercooler you want yet?
Just a suggestion but check out the DSM sites like dsmtuners.com or something.
If Im not mistaken that is the same turbo used on almost all DSM's except some have the 14 instead of 12. That seems right, maybe not but anyways check those out they can be had CHEAP and since they came with that turbo (I THINK) it would make sence since the stock boost on a DSM was around 7psi.
Ive been out of the DSM world a while but I think that sounds about right.
                      Just a heads up
