My GF is picking up an 08 Ninja 250 this weekend, gonna be her first bike and I'm gonna teach her how to ride.

I'm hopefully gonna pick one of these up within the next 3 weeks, if the bank every hurries the fuck up!

The 998 I'm really hoping to get is a monoposto, so I'll be riding with the girlfriend rather than riding together. I hope to hit up Road America a couple times seeing as how I live 25 minutes north of it...

I don't think I would ever finance a bike, but maybe a Ducati is the exception. God they're sexy.

Yeah they're perfect beginner bikes, and they finally look good too!



I'm actually waiting for the bank to release the title of my 600rr so I can sell it to my friend, and I'm using that cash + cash from the bank to pick up the Duc, and yes, they're sexy

I used to think the ninja 250 is the perfect beginner bike, but now I'd give that to the yami wr250x. Totally different, but those sumo's are so sexy.

Never seen or been on a wr250x..

If you're a bigger rider, or are used to being on two wheels (dirtbikes, mini bikes, etc) I think the Suzuki SV650 is a great choice. They're quick enough and big enough that you won't get sick of it after a month, unlike the Ninja 250.

I don't know if I'd give up my zx6r for a ninja 250, but I would LOVE to ride a 250 through the twisties with my friends. What's better than murdering 5 guys on 1000's with a 600? Murdering 5 guys on 1000's with a 250.
