i really think it's a case of the ABB (anybody but bush) syndrome. bush fucked up so royally both domestically and internationally that the world sees obama as a god send to deliver them from the moronic imperialism of bush & gang. that in no way is a valid argument for giving this award to obama, but that's what happened i bet. besides i've not held the nobel peace prize in much regard since they gave it to arafat. no one of any political persuasion who used terrorism as a political weapon should be eligible imo.Comment

The Nobel Peace Prize has little meaning to me, however I still like to think that the Nobel prize for science is still relevant. Though even that is so political it isn't even funny.

We are somewhat on the same page for once.
I'm a conservative. I'm not jealous or angry at all, I'm just trying to understand why Obama was awarded this. Even members of his own organization are unsure as to why he got it.
He was nominated 9 days into his term, but the committee sent out its solicitation for nominations last September -- two months before Obama was even elected as president.
