That's a terrible comparison sleeve. You're saying that there are people that would choose to be without health insurance and not live and thus the government should not mandate purchasing insurance because it infringes upon someones choice. The few people that would rather not live and have health insurance will still have the freedom to choose, no one is going to mandate that they purchase insurance after they have killed themselves.Comment

Umm in this bill You will be forced to BUY H.I. or PAY a FINE of about the cost of a years premiums (aka PAY the GOVT for it but not have the coverage)That's a terrible comparison sleeve. The govt cant madate you to buy anything.
Driving is a privilege, to enjoy that privilege the state can mandate you have Insurance coverage at a minimum level
My comparison was a tongue in cheek reference to the govt giving you the privilege to live like it gives you the privilege to drive. See what I am getting at.
You have a RIGHT to live, that comes from god, alha, the flying spaghetti monster, the earth or what ever you happen to believe the origins of life are. You are a drain on the system, you were emancipated, didn't (and still don't) have your own health insurance, and you bled the state of CA for $342K, what did I miss?A drain on the system, is repeat offenders running to the ER because they caught the flu. I do take offense at the idea of "skating" my debt. You want monetary compensation? Get the fucking SA-PD to do their fucking job and catch some of these little waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffless. Maybe, just maybe if they did their fucking job a bit better and patrolled high gang activity areas I wouldn't have had to "skate" my health debt. The funniest part is, when the officer was taking my report in the ER while I was leaking vital fluids like a broke fire hydrant, I mentioned where I was when it happend. Know what he said? "Oh, wait... we got a call about 20 people fighting in the street down there. We figured it would take care of itself" - want a fucking problem? THAT's a fucking problem.
And for the record, I was insured, you fucking twat. They didn't take it because of Government regulations and strangle holds on the system. Eat a dick, cock mongler.Last edited by robrez; 03-20-2010, 07:16 PM.sigpic

The government gives you a right to go into an ER and be treated without having to pay up front. It also pays for the ambulances and airlifts that you way require to head into that ER. It also pays for the fire and rescue departments that get you out of your twisted-ass hunk of alloy and into stretchers and gurneys to be taken to a hospital with no questions asked. In that sense, by establishing a medical care system, the government has given you a right to receive medical care at any time.Umm in this bill You will be forced to BUY H.I. or PAY a FINE of about the cost of a years premiums (aka PAY the GOVT for it but not have the coverage)

I'll edit this one. It's not worth my time.
Think what you want. Sign and call your Congressman for O-Care.
The state viewed it was emancipation because I paid rent and my parents only had me for 2/3's of that year. Yeah, a total drain on the system. One time visit to the ER for life threatening injuries sustained by 15 assailants. You shrug off what you want, dick face. You'd have done no better. Put yourself in the same shoes, you think I had a choice? C'mon, man.
I'm not against reform. Just not "reform" that wont work.
I can't wait to meet you at the Picnic.Last edited by ck_taft325is; 03-20-2010, 06:51 PM.Need a part? PM me.

Yes, he was a drain on the system, and yes, those assertions are true, but your way of communicating this to him is actually the opposite of helpful to the situation as a whole because it incites a knee-jerk reaction instead of critical understanding. Please stop. You are a drain on the system, you were emancipated, didn't (and still don't) have your own health insurance, and you bled the state of CA for $342K, what did I miss? You obviously take as much personal responsibility for your medical bills as you do for getting your ass whupped on. I love how you blame all your problems on the mexicans, the police, and the black messiah. Please go forward and carry on the anti-Obamacare fight, the movement needs more people like you.

Let's do this then... let's put that whole ugly circumstance 4 years from now and say O-Care passed. What's really different? I'd have health insurance at the age of 17, making good money for part time, but in reality, next to nothing.
Now you're making say, $100,000 a year. You pay way more in taxes than I do, because you make more.
I get jumped. I go to the ER. The same system you're being taxed on just paid for my bills. Unless I'm missing something here. O-Care is free to my broke ass 17 year old self.
See you live in LA. Thanks for fronting my medical bills, bro.Need a part? PM me.

You, me, and everyone else pays taxes for the fire department (EMT) and the police departments as a matter of public service, to get you to where you can get medical treatment.
Once they get you there, thats the end of it, its on you to pay your bill and take care of your self. And most all municipalities will send you a bill for that ride, that you have to pay after pre paying for years with your taxes.
Yes you cant be turned away for emergency medical treatment, they are only required to stabilize you to send you home and do enough to keep you from losing your life or a limb. I dont have issue with this, its part of being human and having compassion for your fellow man and helping someone in a time of need (Notice I said HELP). When its all said and done you get your bill set up payments and make them every week/month. It would be impractical to demand payment for emergency services from a guy with a steering column sticking outta his chest and 1/2 a window wedged in his ear before you do something to help them.
This is alos why the ER is always jambed up with people in there for a cold, migraines, minor sore throats, and other things that they should be seeing a G.P. for. But because they can get it for free and not be turned away is another contributing factor to the over all problemLast edited by mrsleeve; 03-20-2010, 07:05 PM.The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money. -Alexis de TocquevilleOriginally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

I'm wasn't trying to make this personal (until I got called a cock-mongler (wft?), and I'm sorry you took it this way. I actually respect that you stick by your convictions. My point is that real life experiences often fly in the face of political rhetoric and party politics. I take back my poster boy comment, and I'll even volunteer to be the poster boy for inciting knee-jerk reactions, as long as Kronus volunteers to be the poster boy for intellectual snobbery ;) lulzsigpic

There's this recurring theme of people who can't afford health insurance being called lazy. I'm curious as to where that comes from, because several of you mentioned that you were poor growing up and did not have health insurance as a result. Were you and your parents lazy?
So all of a sudden my comment was about the poor. Way to jump to conclusions. Try using more logic next time. Just read it for what it is and stop adding your personal problems in, you'll do better in life that way.
And you tell someone else to stop because they don't have critical understanding.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
