Just went through some of the plot in the comics and boy is the show messed up compared to the actual story....lots of the characters in it should apparently be dead for instance, Carol apparently committed suicide during the 'Woodbury' stage in the comics.

I've always seen this show not so much as a zombie killing show, but more of a how people survive after the end of the world kind of thing. Yes, zombies caused the end of the modern world, but it could have been just about anything else and things would be very similar.

I agree with you up to this part.

It tackles serious questions about the humanity, character flaws and survival instincts. I know many are bored with it, but it's moving at it's own zombie pace. I don't think it's a bad thing, their story arcs are much more widespread.

Make them run out of ammo and lose the key to the weapon storage box, then...zombies. Thing is there are 116 comic issues and it has been ongoing since 2003 as a comic, so I don't really know how you'd end something like that. We're not too far in as issues are concerned, I believe around 40 something.

You realize they haven't followed the comics on purpose and have no plans to really follow them right? Robert Kirkland doesn't want you to know what's going to happen for one. I've only read a few of the comics, half of that stuff they wouldn't be able to accurately depict on television, it would be way too much for most people. Maybe they could do more on a premium channel, but I don't really know how much more, plus I think it has the right home with AMC.

Those of you who are itching for more, the Govnah is likely to take control of the commando-like group and/or truly show what he wants to do to the main group after wiping out other groups I'd assume.

Well, that's true, it would keep you watching if there was no way to know what was going on. But then again, I keep reminding myself of Resident Evil. The games, especially the first one was amazing and then the movies had nothing to do with it and I was quite disappointed.

In my case, it's good that I haven't actually read the comics.

Are Tyrese, his sister and D'Angelo Barksdale going to run off together and be saved by Carol at some point? So many things to ponder at work today.
