#3 and #4 are amazing. The shadows (at such an unnatural angle) look great

Oh ok. I take a picture of the scene with the welding glass on and that is what I use to set the custom WB. The first pic will be green cast, then the others, with that pic as the custom WB, will be the correct color.

There was a big quartz halogen light on the front of the house that projects pretty far. I set the tripod up at a right angle to the light, in a shadow.

          Selling my 70-200

^ I wish! Soon, soon I will have one.

I love my 85 for casual shooting, just not for automotive or action. Since I do a majority of casual/lifestyle shooting it fits me well. I'm sure you'll love it.

Nice shot of the moon. I think your lens is far larger than mine.

                  *****full crop, 1.4x teleconverter on a Canon 70-200 f/4L

had to crank it up to ISO200 and 1/160th second. The moon kept moving and blurred at slower speeds upon close inspection.

Shot on film, from the passenger seat of a truck while driving up the freeway a little north of San Diego.

These were shot on film, then scanned.

Thanks. Its one of my all time favorites. I shot that at San Simeon State beach Sept 10 2001. I was using a hand held Nikon FM10 full manual camera with an ISCO 180mm F2.8 lens dating back to the '60s. Its really is a nice lens.

The story and atmosphere is amazing. I'm confused why you don't straighten the horizon?

Its kinda hard to do that when its a photograph and not digital. I guess I could go in and crop the pic in photoshop, but then it ends up being off in other ways. I'll be honest, I do more damage to photos that I screw with in photoshop than I fix. For that reason, I try to get it right in the camera, and leave it as is.

By the way, which shot are you talking about?
