Luckily I have a photography store 5 minutes from home that stocks up on all the supplies I need. Decent pricing too.

^ nice light and tones on the truck. Something alittle funky with coloring of bed vs front of car imo. Also are the lights supposed to be that dark???

Location and composition is a little flat/boring imo.

So I just took this photo of the filter that came with my Nikon. Could not find much info except is an old ass "sky" filter. I'm sure you guys can share some light on it.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

Does it have any markings? could be a circular polarizer, or UV for "sky"

Looks like its just a UV filter. A circular polarizer would have a spinning part, this looks like one piece.

Excuse my noob, but what does a uv filter do? Is it just to protect the 18-55 lens??

It's not very noticible, just helps with letting some uv light in. Mainly it's good to have one because it's cheaper to replace a scratched uv filter than a scratched lens.

It depends on what the air is like. If its smoggy, a sky filter can make things a little more blue tinted, and a Haze filter can tint things to a warmer white balance. Both are useful.
