    BMW F30 (New 3 series)

They're coming with 4 cylinder turbos:

    Link to story:
Hey BMW 3-Series. Look at you on your sixth-generation day, less bulky, more design-forward, more Hofmeister kinky and lighter than before. And awww, look at your cute little four-cylinder engine. You just want to squeeze it, don't you?

    3.0 available...why bother with the turbo 4?

The dash looks weird and the front of the car isn't my thing. But I like that it's at least a bit lighter.

Wow. This makes the Pontiac Aztek look elegant.

The front end reminds me of a derpy looking Evo X.

Is this an official release, or a bunch of rumors?

Nevermind its official, but they won't all be 4-cyl turbos.

looks ok will look a lot better when you slap on the mtech kit I am sure. front end has a nice sharkish profile and the rear has a clear f10 style. not bad at all really. hopefully it's core value's return compared the boat of a e90. maybe it will be as nimble as a e46 zhp....

I fear it seems as though their main concern is gas mileage, have you once seen them mention handling or performance upgrades?

The only thing they have mentioned is the power outputs.

I doubt it will come near a ZHP.

I love it, think it looks very elegant and athletic. It'll have at minimum in the 328i, a 240 hp 4 banger. Supposedly with a tune they'll be close to 300.

The nose profile is due to the European pedestrian laws.

New real photos. The front of the red one is very nice. At least they got their aggressive look back. The previous generation was awful. 4 cylinder turbo is awesome. I can't wait for the wagon version. 88 pounds lighter then the old version too.

                      Here is the Mtech one

I pity the generation that looks back and thinks these are great cars.

Whereas e30 owners (and many other BMW models) can look back and say their cars were "quick, nimble, performance focused, handled great, etc..", these kids will be saying, "My car had 4 cupholders, a heated steering wheel, 985 way adjustable seats, and MORE leg room than a comparable C-Class!"

Its sad really, how terribly far BMW has fallen in the past decade :(

While I agree with what you are trying to say (E30 = drivers car), there is another point of view to look at.

Brand new, a well equipped E30 was a very nice car. Leather, sport seats, OBC omg, heated seats, check panel that tells the user when things are going wrong, power sunroof, etc. It really is the same thing now, it's just that they can cram in a ton of tech for the same cost. Compared to other modern cars BMW still holds the performance and driving aspect way more then other comparable cars. I've driven a new C-class, and honestly the 2011 X5 was more sporty then the C-class was.

It might grow on me like most new BMW's do. I kind of like how the headlights meet the kidney, thought I don't like how the lights look in the side profile.

                              i think it looks great.

but bragging about 88lbs? meh. how about make the car a bit smaller than an e90 and drop the weight 300lbs. that's something to talk about.

next thing you know they'll come out with a 4 door 1 series.
