I just hope ALFA will release a small two door coupe that is front engine, rear wheel drive with a manual transmission (no flappy paddle autotragics) along the lines of a 105 series GTV. Under 3000 lbs, minimal computerized crap, with excellent visibility out of it in all directions. Something tells me I'll be waiting forever for that one.

I guess I'll just get back to work on my '59 101 Sprint, It will fulfill my needs in a new car. It will cost just as much as a new car, but be better for me in every way.

I read that all the 4Cs spotted around the US have Michigan manufacturer's plates on them. The real ones are going to start arriving sometime soon (in the next two years..?). Some of the dealers are being upfront and publishing the mark-up they will require to get an early model…some of them $15,000 (!)

Who knows - it's constant rumors with Alfa / Fiat.
      .
crysler has a proving ground facility in michigan between Ann Arbor and jackson. its about 15 minutes from where i grew up. i am pretty sure that explains the plates. i won't be paying a 15k premium for that or any other car. i think the car is a real beauty, however, i can't say im a fan of the wheels.

i'm not a fan of paddle shift either, but its getting to the point where that is the only thing you can get these days.

4 years ago, who could have imagined the possibility of buying a car with a monocoque carbon fiber tub for 55k? as far as i know the only other vehicle on the market designed for street use would be the mclaren f1. those things cost about a million.

ferarri f550 maranello's are hovering around 80-90k these days for a really nice example. i am pretty sure that is the most modern supercar available that still has old school attributes. i think at that price, they are going to be a fantastic investment in years to come. thats a shitass load lot of car for this kind of money.

Those are a stylized nod to the (functional) Alfa tradition of a ring of round vent holes in race and street wheels..

I would not call that a pile of junk. A solid project, yes.

today is a good alfa romeo ebay day:

this is absolutely my favorite affordable alfa. aside from the gaudy steering wheel and orangy/tan interior, this thing is perfect for me.

Holy fuck!!!!! i can't remember the last time i saw one of these:

not exactly my style, but a lovely car none the less.

one more: my personal least favorite of the buch:

Hey, I just ran across this car on the AlfaBB - "Wait…I've seen that same car somewhere…"

Good find. The chrome bumpers are a big improvement if you can do it.

wow. this thing just hit 100k with about a day left to go. who would have thought it would be that desirable in unrestored condition? its not even a zagato body car. seller started the bidding at a thousand bucks and it still hasn't met reserve. i didn't see that one coming. i was thinking about 40-50k.
