Ok, I now know what Alfa I want. I will get a four door Giulietta. Hopefully I can find one that has the shifter on the floor so I can turn it into a Vintage racer. Im not expecting it to be the fastest, but I dont care. Theres a sentimental value here even though it wont be the same car. I talked to my Dad about it for a little while. He's 76 now and this was his first car, pics were taken in the late 60s early 70s. First pic is with my Grandpa, whom I never met, but was a professional driver. My Dad was telling me stories about how he used to steal the Ford Cortina my Grandpa had.Love it. These are two cars I want. Ive always wanted a Cortina, but that one probably wont happen, maybe someday.
Anyways, heres the pics I got from him.
My Dad is on the far left in the pics with the floral shirt and glasses. Always stylin'
Anyone recognize the car in front of my Dads Alfa?

So, the front and rear windows came out of the Sprint today. Some not so good stuff was found in the rear (I had a feeling there was some rust through back there.)
That four door Giulietta is kinda cool. They are pretty uncommon here in the states. I've never seen one in person. That said, I'd go looking for a Super Ti to go racing with. Easier to find, and easier to get parts for.

The rust doesnt seem bad at all, but its great to know that its getting fixe now and properly.
I also love Giulias so a Super Ti is definitely one that would essentially check all the boxes, because the Giulietta doesnt seem like it will be something that can be made into a Vintage racer
Watched this to get my blood going again...

SZs are cool, but they are too egg shaped for me. If given a choice between an SZ and a SV Lightweight, I'd still go for the proper Sprint Veloce. Is the SZ an aerodynamically cleaner design? Yes. Still, the shape just doesn't do it for me. If it were a TZ, that is a different story, I like the TZs but the SZs, eh.
Its interesting to note that many of the SZs started as Spiders that were often wrecked and rebodied as a SZ.
there is some serious coolness to those special edition sprints in my opinion though. perhaps my least favorite is the ss.
there is something utiltarian looking about the aluminum touring version but somehow its probably my favorite. as far as this zagato is concerned, i personally wouldn't kick it out of bed. i like its uniqueness.
by the way....the eBay auction for the d'amico sprint(the better one) doesn't have it listed as a veloce. i also noticed that it is now missing its carburetors and a few other parts.
