Don't get me wrong, it is an awesome idea. But it isn't practical. I have read many magazines such as Modified, and also Sport compact, that said that the f20c and f22c were not happy with high amounts of boost. I have no previous knowledge for why it isn't, just from other magazines.

Yes. Other engines sound cool, but too much of a home made feel to it.

Well not continuing to veer off course, I think the F20/F22 would be a really good motor in an e30 if it can be done easier, with the amount of work it takes; there are too many other options avail.
I'm gonna measure up a VQ motor soon and toss that idea around. Small all aluminum V6 could be a good one too, and they sound nice IMO

Most guys aim for 600whp ish on stock blocks, T1 tuned one to like 900 or some crazy shit on a stock block. The last one I did only made 430 supercharged, the pulley setup was only good for 7 lbs

No problem, Fred. I was really determined to make this swap work and had even made a deal to buy a wrecked S2000. It was a real disappointment when we realized it simply wasn't going to fit.

One project I'd love to do is build a poor-man's S42B20 using the Euro E46 318 diesel crank, S50 rods/pistons, and Euro S50 ITB's. Finish with Schrick or Dbilas cams and standalone. It's been done and power output is nice.

Looks like the guy in the video above made it fit fine.. and it's not even super far back in the engine bay with modded firewall like the one I posted earlier. And I didin't see any evidence for a dry sump either.

You mean the Best Motoring vid with the E36 that had to lift the back of the hood 5 inches to clear the F20C? That's not my definition of fitting fine.

I'm sure he wouldn't have moved his firewall if he didn't have to.

Look, this is just silly. I'm probably the only guy on his board who has approached a reputable shop and spent time, energy, and money to seriously investigate an F20C swap into an E30. If you spend literally 5 minutes looking under the hood of an S2000 and taking some basic measurements, you'll see what the problem is.

Look at our 190E 2.3-16 build thread to get an idea of how I approach a project. I'm not someone who's afraid to take on an unusual build, but I don't half-ass things. Cutting out subframes, moving firewalls, getting rid of swaybars, and moving steering racks just to stick 470 pounds of Honda motor into an E30 doesn't make sense.
