    Um. I pretty sure anyone would prefer to have a cage if you're talking about safety. It really depends on how convenient/ dd-able you want your car to be.

                              even with all the padding, if your head hits the cage you're done.

                              the words daily driver and cage dont belong together. if it was a weekend car, then a half cage. but if you're dead set on a cage, get a bolt in half cage and racing seats that are high enough that your head wont go backwards and hit the top of the cage. potentially.
