Well I went to buy a disco II yesterday and was excited to post that thing up in here, drove 2 hours (each way) only to find the three amigos brightly glaring, a leaking sun roof pouring water on me no powersteering to speak of and the topper a wildly flashing CEL and a motor that felt like a 5 hp Briggs and Stratton on mild uphill climbs...

Fml...still no Rover here...

I'm gonna look at a 98 range rover HSE tomorrow. It has a bad heater core and sunroof won't align, otherwise flawless according to seller. The price is right but what kind of shenanigans am I getting into with the heater core? Any experience?

i believe you are looking at pretty much a complete dashectomy for that heater core. Plus another 15 Torx & 5 retaining clips once you can actually see the "heater matrix"

I don't think so, in fact I was out this weekend at four peaks and the second day couldn't drive me e30 to the top because some jeep slid off the road and the jeep club was blocking the whole road :(

Just ordered the 2004 Disco II Transfer case linkage to add CDL. Looking forward to some Snow fun.

Hopefully I will get the rover out in the snow this winter, the tranny is still giving me trouble but has been holding for a couple months so ill hope for the best.

Anyone done a tranny swap on an RRC?
