It's be nice if you can edit the offset and width of the wheels. I guess that'll help in the aspect that their wheel selection sucks. I do wish someone would add a regular E30 to a game though. They have freakin fiestas and smart cars in 4 but no E30. Nobody wants a Mitsubishi colt!??!!!!? :hitler:

I waited until Forza 4 for a Dodge Omni GLHS and a Mitsubishi Starion...be happy theres an e30 in the game at all...hahaha. Though I would much rather a non-m3.
I may be the weird one, but I prefer a regular e30 over an m3 any day provided they had the same power.
And, supposedly Forza 4 runs at 60fps and Horizon at 30fps. I honestly didn't notice it. But either way, thats more than likely limited by the console's ability to run the game. Not the game itself. The 360 is an old system now and is nearing the end of its run, I'm surprised they're able to make these games look good and be as expansive as they are for running all this on a 3 core 3GHz processor, 512mb of DDR3 RAM, and a 500MHz graphics card. My mid-grade laptop has better specs than that and it'll run photoshop pretty decent.
But, its going to be a fun game. Even if it is more NFS like, I like those games too. And with the steering wheel and all the settings set to simulation, it feels very similar, even more real than Forza 4 since the cars actually turn in Horizon.
Forza, and all the racing games really, have always ticked me off in that you turn the wheel and the cars go straight, and without race tires, etc, thats all they'll do. All these cars that are boasted about having excellent handling off the showroom floor, and they can't take a 90* turn at 30 mph.
I can do that in my 87 e30 with 250k miles of wear and semi-stretched tires without even a hint of fear it won't make it.
Horizon feels more real for that reason. Oh, and the dirt with the force feedback is awesome.Last edited by strang3majik; 10-11-2012, 03:29 PM.

You've only driven three cars...lol The Mustang did it okay, and the EVO on the dirt. The Viper was a little harder, but then again, the new one isn't supposed to...haha.
And Forza was the best of all of them so far, but still not that great.
I did learn that if you get real world spring rates and use them with the race suspension (coilover) upgrade, the cars handle tons better.
But like I said, the e30 m3 handles like ass in Forza 4 bone stock. They clearly do not.

that was my favorite part, i want to keep redoing the mustang one to get more sideways the whole time. i feel like the RWD drifting is actually improved in horizon after playing it a few more times. But if all the AWD cars are this slow/bad idk. I can do drifts in a AWD honda pilot with only 250hp, i should easily slip in slide an evo.

meh i thought the mustang was too sloppy for some sliding, as soon as counter steer was introduced it flopped straight or past straight.
the viper was fun but could use less weight, and more camber/ other tune settings.
cant wait to drive a 2002 with an e92 v8 in it :PComment

IGN gave it a 9/10
No word about upgrades though...

Also...
Just to quickly confirm, the volume of certain components such as exhausts, does increase in volume with upgrades. This in turn drives the DSP harder and gives the car more of a race feel in terms of audio.
Shifting audio is also something that can become more prominent when the cars transmission is upgraded.

From a guy who acquired a review copy of the game:
And I just counted the Forza 4 wheels...there are 114.It's been quite a while since I played 4 but by my count there are 112 different wheels. There's a bunch of different suppliers and each has 1-4 styles, averaging at 2 per supplier.
FUCK.
