Your e30 ever left you stranded?

Yesterday, left work early to meet a water system guy at my house, alternator belt snapped on the M3. I found out why:



Another time, diff car: the cluster the PO gave me (an "I" I had in the eta) showed half a tank of gas when the light came on. I figured the light was just messed up and my mileage was really good... ran out of gas. Cluster was replaced within the week. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice....well you can't fool me again!

Why does everyone run out of gas? I never go lower than 1/4 tank. Im not pushing my car to a gas station.

But my car left me stranded a few blocks from my house. I was on my way to a friends house when my shifter linkage came undone. Of all gears it was left in neutral. Luckly i acted quick enough to pull to the side of the road before i lost momentum. I waited about a half hour til my dad showed up in the truck to drag me back to the house.

I really don't know how people can run out of gas. Seems absolutely ridiculous.

slipped an alt belt on my old eta. that is the one and only time that the E30 (both of them) has left me calling a tow truck

just changed the starter and my coolant bypass hose burned through on the starter and went all over the freeway. all new coolant i mind you. was my problem

Stranded no, momentarily held up yea. Blew a tire and had no spare. Got rescued by another e30 an rode home on a bottle cap

Anyways - running out of gas does not count. That's just idiocy.

My 86 ETA left me stranded when the crank sensor went bad. Also broke the water pump v-belt. That one didn't really leave me stranded though. I got a ride to a NAPA and replaced the belt on the side of the road. Drove the beast home.

Jesus some of you guys need to carry a gallon of gas in your trunk.

Got stranded at my in laws after I popped a fusebox and then got stranded in a parking lot after I used to turn around by dumping the clutch and cranking the wheel, the wire for my cps came loose and was cut by the pulleys.

Now that I have AAA I have no problems, knock on wood.

I was stranded in my old Dodge Daytona when the fuel pump died and left us stranded at 3am on new years morning, on our way back from an amazing party. Was 2 miles uphill from where I live or we would've pushed it.
