I miss having two wheels in the garage.
There is a guy on campus with one who doesn't ride all that fast but he is always jumping off the little ramps of sidewalks when no people are on them.

Supermotos are a hell of a lot of fun, the safety of your license is directly dependant on the amount of self control you possess. 250 will get old quick on the street, go 450 as mentioned above.

Also, 5 hours may seem like a short amount of time for an oil change but remember, a lot of these bikes hold barely over a quart of oil to save weight/mass. That is not a lot of oil to suspend contaminants hence the many oil changes.

That what I thought too when I was told that..

Like lj said, they only hold a little amount of oil.

I love my Suzuki Drz-400sm. Quick, reliable, and fun as shit. Oil changes every 3000 miles is a plus. It might not be a race bike but I like the fact that I don't have spend more time wrenching than riding it.

I've never done any maintenance on a bike before, I am assuming it's really not to hard.

I have been eyeballing those bikes for some time now. Just waiting for the right one.

I really like that drz as well, it has a nice look to it and the maintenance, or lack thereof, is a plus.

The amount of oil shouldn't matter to much. Nor does the colour (contrary to popular belief). Best to get an oil analysis from blackstone on your used oil to see how much it has deteriorated. I use 15w40 Rotella T diesel oil in my 450r, quality quality oil, cheap as shit, and jaso certified for wet clutches.

Depends on what you define as difficult. Valve adjustments are a pain in the ass.

These are starting to grow on me. Now I have to decide on getting a supermoto or building a cafe racer.

I don't need to look at them anymore to know that I need one.
