Believe it, or not I was actually looking in Houston. The Gulf of Mexico looks real nice.

I've also searched Oregon, Colorado, Washington, Florida and California. Lots of houses between 1,000-50,000 that judging from the ad look like something I'd be paying 250,000+ over here.

well, fyi: it takes a minimum of 130k to buy a decent house in houston, tx. i'm not saying that there aren't good deals out there. however, you generally get what you pay for. the price range you are talking about means you are going to get corn holed by prison inmates on a daily basis.

Well I left my job at a county jail for a private organization 4mths ago for a for profit agency. It was great to be in an office, but what they think people can do inside of one day is just insane! Well I quit my day job and I am going back to a jail. Crazy to think I can work with murderers, but hate the politics of working with teen addicts. Took a 7k pay hit also.
