My dad owned the place and I ran it.

He never touched cars while I worked there, because he has a machine shop attached to the same place, so he focused on that.

I was planning on taking over when he retired, but he invested everything he had into a factory he developed in Syria. He even took all the equity out of his house to fund the factory. Long story short, that shit got blown up and now he pretty much has to start over on the mortgage for his home and save up to retire, again, at 62

In light of that situation, he cut my pay, significantly and his overall attitude was down.

I thought it would be best that I find a new job, so he can save whatever he would be paying me and save put it towards retirement.

Probably the shittiest situation we have had to deal with, but life moves on.

I really like the new Mazda 3 hatchback.

What year/model is it?

Kinda thinking of replacing the Focus with something else. Tired of the buzzy interior plastics and worn out drivers seat cushions (yet the seat heater works great).

Really considering something with at least a v6. As I get older, comfort and refinement seem to have inched into the top spot for priority.

That really sucks. I know when a lot of Assyrian families fled Iran during the Islamic Revolution in 1980 many had good careers and couldnt get back to that level when they left. Caused a lot of problems in families I know

Electrical Engineers are dicks for using "J" instead of "i" for sqrt(-1) and then just assuming everyone will follow along. My friend group has just been like "what the fuck is J", "How do you solve for J" and all kinds of confusion with phasor transforms (which are awful enough without neglecting to mention that tidbit) all week.

lol. i had to take 2 electrical engineering courses when i was in school. the first one was difficult but manageable. the second was a mother trucker. i couldn't imagine doing an entire major with classes like that.

i am really good at basic electrical concepts. i have completely wired several houses, installed more than a dozen load panels, successfully wired an s52 into an e30.....that theory shit tho......maybe it was a lack of interest, but that was by far my most difficult class and my worst grade. it would probably be more fun to get gang banged by a posse of orangoutangs-all nicknamed tripod.

I got here at 8am...been on a few calls/cases/incidents... For the most part it's been pretty easy.
