Out of the subframe. I was thinking for getting them out of the arm I could just cut the spline short and use a normal ball joint removal tool...but as to getting them out of the subframe I'm at a loss

Long extension or pipe same diameter as stud and a big hammer and beat them out. Just use a press to get them in an out of the control arm

I have the perfect thing for those inner balljoints now. There was a 6 month period I worked in the component shop at my old job, and one of the old guys called up a 4 foot long section of 3/4" brass rod as a Shop Aid because I was making too much noise (surprise, using a 4X Rivet gun with brass snap to drive Hi-Loks through fittings/skin sounds like hell.)

So now I have this massive brass dowel to beat things with.
