Liqui Moly stopped by and dropped this off and told me to use this with my oil..

It's a ceramic additive that prevents metal to metal contact and bonds with materials in the engine, which lasts up to 30k miles, even with oil changes...

He also gave me a zinc additive, but he said this is the bees knees

I ran it in my E90 328i when I had it, and I'm putting it in my F10 535i tomorrow when I change the oil.

I know the Corvette people love Waterwetter, and some tracks require it, mostly as an alternative to coolants.

It must react better in all aluminum engines, because motorcycle people love it too.

I have put water and water wetter in hundreds of motorcycles over the years with zero issues.

Regular coolant (antifreeze) is not allowed on racetracks so water is used instead. Water cools just fine but is also corrosive to the metal of the engine and a typical motorcycle water pump has a ceramic seal in it that needs lubrication that water can't provide.

Water with water wetter provides corrosion protection, lubrication for the water pump and is also easier to see in the coolant reservoir compared to straight water.

I’m still skeptical buying amazon branded oil. Not sure how to go about this, what’s your thought of of this?

For the E30 I'll stick with VR1 20w50

For my Corvette Pennzoil ultra plat 5w30
Truk and (barf) Camry, Pennzoil plat 5w30

That being said, the proof is in the pudding, and I'll be looking for more testing on the Amazon oil. I'd imagine it's a leading synthetic minus any additive packs.

Nothing I could say was 100% decisively due to the additive, though my average mileage did increase slightly.

I do wonder what new guidelines will be issued for additives when 0w-8 comes out in force in the next fiveish years.
