I found a e87 135i with like 50k miles on CarMax for 10k a few weeks back. I would have got it if it had a manual. Those cars have crazy potential. My favorites are the s65 swaps. Period correct and brutal.

The 135i is intriguing, but I would have reliability concerns. The 335i I owned had fuel pump and injector issues, and too many recalls.
