Anybody into GM G-body cars?

I always preferred the Camaro to the Firebirds, I some times deeply miss my 82' Z28 first year of the 3rd gen. 305 carb'd and a manual Tranny.

fun car, seemed "fast" at the time, but what a dog compared to much of anything now.

Love GN's a bunch more for what they are than for how they look, laughable GM had a full size sedan with a V6 that could more or less eat the Flagship Vette' of the showroom floor. my buddy had on (his dad) in High school we used to rip around in once and awhile. it was very quick indeed.

still though, I see the odd Z or IROC now and still get pangs to own one. fricking expensive up here now though, people seem to think they are going to be the next Hemi-Cuda' or C.O.P.O Camaro

I always liked them,especially the skylarks and regals.I drove a lot of them back when I was a detailer for some dealers in the early 80's but couldnt remember ever owning one,then I remembered that I had an 80 skylark sedan for a while around 1990.It was nothing special really,just a comfy cruiser.

A couple of years ago,our churches car repair ministry had a 83 T-type donated to us by the original owner,with 80ish k on it,her husband had bought it for her new and he literally drove it off the showroom floor,it came with all the original paperwork and a window sticker of almost 19k,it even had a power moonroof,pretty rare for these cars.I kept it at my house for several months and enjoyed driving it alot.We always auction off the nicest donation car at our car show and I was sad to see it go,but the best wife ever wouldnt let me buy that one:(

Im a fan of the Aerocoupe.

I like the aerocoupe as well. I am not a fan of the silly rear windows most G-bodys have, which is why I am partial to the Malibu.
