You must be like a toothpick at that height and weight. I would just lift heavy and eat everything in sight until you reach about 210, then cut to 200... well maybe depends on your bone structure (inb4nosuchthing) if you are small frame then maybe 185 lean would be good.

lifts are fine, except your bench is a bit overpowering compared to your squat and DL.
I still have a considerable amount of fat left on my body, I want to get cut up first then try and start building lean muscle. I don't think I'm a "toothpick" of sorts, I eat a whole lot of protein, just cut back on carbs. Almost completely. I'm hoping to bench 225 for reps by the end of summer, and my DL/squat to be around the 300 range.

Let me put this into perspective for you......

      I am also 6-0"

and I weigh 252lbs. as of this morning......

If your goal is to lift more weigh, eat everything in sight and pickup heavy stuff. Seriously, even if you have fat on you, start lifting 4-5 times a week, the calories that you'll burn will disintegrate that.

start eating 1.25g of protein per lbs. of body weight = 206g a day.

That shouldn't be hard, I do that in 2 meals as I pull in over 315g a day.

Carbs are your friend, but don't eat them whenever you feel like it. focus on eating them directly after your workout, and concentrate on high glycemic carbs. This will spike insulin and and slow the onset of lactic acid which is severely catabolic.

      gatorade made with dextrose
      white rice
      potatoes

      Stuff like that.

Sir, you are not fat, no possible way, you are 20lbs. lighter the the national BMI weight for that height.

EAT BIG, LIFT BIG, GET BIG.

If you wanna put on weight and strength, you're going to have to be willing to put some fat on as well. I've been your stats, I wouldn't even consider cutting at that size.

that is pretty funny and sad at the same time. You are 60lbs heavier than I. Honestly I dont know where I would hang an extra 60lbs.

              Whats your BFI?

I haven't had it checked in quite awhile, but a conservative guess I'd say 15% range maybe. Vascular limbs, slight outline of the abs, also slight love handles haha. I'm an ectomorph so I chalked those up to the short torso haha.

I'll post up my measurements tonight, I can't remember them off the top of my head.

The wife snapped this picture a couple months ago, probably the most recent one I've got.

in your photograph it looks like your feet are turned out and your knees are turning in. Be careful of that!

yeah, I actually hurt my hip flexore......I've since moved my feet in. I utilize wall squats pre-workout to get my knees going out and box squats to keep the weight back. One to many sets that day an form went to crap........

that's the weight I do or maybe I have 25's on the end I forget, I go off how i'm feeling that day, at reps of 12x3sets but my feet are not that wide more like shoulder width

I feel ya. When I really started to go heavy, my form was all over the place. I was just determined to move heavy weight at what ever cost. I would get injured and hit plateaus. My coach took me under his wing and really showed me how important form really is. Over the last 7 weeks on a strength program I was able to increase my squat max 30lbs. Both in front and back squats. Form is everything!

I carried the sumo stance over from lifting with suits when I was powerlifting. Lifting like that isn't wrong, but I was so used the the equipment supporting me I was forgetting a lot. I have a hybrid stance now, not 100% conventional but not near that wide. it allows me to get my body much tighter.

I still tend to over compensate with my quads, but the wall squats help me push the weight back on my heals and hamstrings.

I'm just as surprised as you are. 20 lbs lighter than the national BMI for 6'0? I need to find out my %BF and post it up. I'm probably going to start lifting heavier towards fall and eating much much more. Now I'm still focusing on getting completely shredded. Thanks for all the pointers, will definitely be going after form instead of stacking on plates for no reason.
