I was in Somerset, NJ visiting a good friend about 10 years ago when it rained the entire time. I want to say it was May. There, you can clearly tell when the seasons change unlike Los Angeles. Here in the winter, the weather may drop 10 degrees on average and people complain about it.

Lambo, Redondo Beach is nice but I would check out San Pedro/RPV if you're up for nice scenery, huge homes, trails and magnificent views. Some live in the area their whole lives and never see some of things being on a hill has to offer.

FTW. Colorado is definitely where it's at. I just missed the beach every now and then.

Awesome! We're a group of college guys and we have a free place to stay in Redondo so that was the determining factor for that but we'll definitely be exploring anything and everything that looks cool!

I've been out here about 2 months now. It's definitely a nice place, but I wouldn't say I like it better then RI. The beaches are better, the weather is better, the food is better, but there's also smog, bike cops, tons of people/traffic, horrible parking lot entrances (people complain about the roads, but it's really the entrances that are bad) and it's just not home. I miss the New England feel and scenery, the houses/buildings, the small-town atmosphere, etc. SoCal is a nice place to be, but when I settle down I would prefer New England, even with the shitty weather.

I was up in San Francisco the past 2 days though, and what a difference compared to down here. It's a completely different place. I could see myself living there as well.

And why is New Jersey in a cool places to live discussion?

Indeed, the SF Bay Area is a very different place compared to socal. Were you able to explore other places in the Bay Area?
