Bird poop phenomenon

Yesterday evening I parked the Miata, took some things from the trunk, and went inside... this morning, the trunk is covered in bird poop. All of this happened in one night!!! The car was clean the night before.

I have been parking the Miata in the same place as I used to park the 325i, meaning I have parked my dailies in this spot for the past 10 years. This has never happened. We don't have anything that birds can use as a perch...

I am baffled.

Opinions as to whether this is really a bird poop phenomenon or a prank / vandalism?

bird/birds vandalism. be sure to fill out a police report so you can nail those suck wads! they were just trying to tell you what they think of your car. (it is a miata after all)
