I love Goldeneye, Mario Kart, and Ocarina of Time too, but I think my favorite might be Majora's Mask. Really dark and creepy, with tons of super interesting symbolism and good characterization. Easily the most overlooked and under-appreciated Zelda game. I doubt they'll make that much of a departure again in that series.Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? I'll do my top 3 from each platform:
PC:
Half Life (I played the Black Mesa remake last summer. It was awesome. Someday I'll go back and revisit Op Force and Blue Shift)
Need For Speed II Special Edition (The FZR2000 was the greatest car ever imagined)
Descent (Just bought this on Steam again. It's as difficult as I remembered)
Honorable Mentions:
Commander Keen
Xargon
Lemmings
Unreal Tournament
Monster Truck Madness 2 (This game had a huge mod/track/truck community, giving this game a long shelf life)
Nintendo:
Super Mario World (My friend, brother, and I 100%'d this game one summer. All 96 level exits and the special world levels to change the maps season from spring to fall*).
Super Mario Kart (Still the best of the mario kart games, by far)
Donkey Kong Country
Honorable Mentions:
F-Zero
Mario RPG
Sega:
Sonic 2
Earthworm Jim
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Honorable Mentions:
Road Rash
Battletoads/Double Dragon
*Up until 10 minutes ago, I didn't know we had 100%'d the game. I knew we were close, since we had made it to the special world and back. In the pre internet days, we relied on what was essentially folklore for knowledge, and I always thought there were 100 level exits, and we just couldn't find the last 4. When I looked it up just now to see how many there actually were, I was shocked. God knows how many hours were spent looking for those last 4 nonexistent level exits.Last edited by Andy.B; 05-06-2014, 06:51 PM.

Road rash has already been posted. God there's so many, but one of my top ten def goes to...
The game, and the intro are TWENTY years old. So simple, yet so amazing sounding.
Graphics? Not so much.
Great for hours of head to head gaming.
Also, it was already posted. But I had paperboy for the Commodore 64
The original pac man knockoff. (It should be noted, I own this AND pac man still)
4 person multiplayer (usually round robin between 6 guys) Carnage. Looks simple, but games get really heated.
Get bitches
One of the many "Well, WTF is going on here?!" Atari games.
My brother had, and still has this. Definite ROFL
Kirov Reporting! So many hours lost with friends...
And of course:
Zeldas, Ocarina of time being numero uno.
Contra
Bubble Bobble
Marble Madness
Mega Man 2
Marios
Kirbys adventure.
BATTLETOADS
Battle Clash w/ Super scope 6 (That I eventually traded for a suzuki 80cc off road. Lol)
Duck tales
Cobra Triangle
I'll stop now. I could go for hours....
EDIT:
Nope, forgot the original "Want to throw this fracking computer off the highest cliff possible." game, that took me 2 years to beat (I was 6 when I started, cut me some slack). Back during BBS's and no such thing as walkthroughs...
