    Anybody into RC planes?

Have a couple of small helicopters but my first plane was delivered today. Bought an Apprentice S15 with wheels and floats so I can crash it on not only on land but also in the bodies of water we frequent.

photo stolen from the internet since mine is still in the box.

Was flying rc planes, migrated to quadcopters.... with the new "imposed" regulations, going back to cars and rc cars.

i still have my drone. don't have time to fly it much. never been interested in planes or boats or cars.

aren't the drone regulations more for commercial applications?

It's anything over half a pound I think. Which isn't much.

I used to, had to sell it all a while back though and haven't gotten back into it since because it's so expensive. I liked scale planes, some of the detail work people put into them is impressive, and jets are cool but unobtainable. The most fun I had with it was with electric foam planes and 3D aerobatics. Hanging on the prop and doing knife edge flight always impresses people at the park ;)

If I were to get back into it, it would be small scale electric stuff and electric helicopters. I love an internal combustion engine as much as the next guy, but it's harder to find a place to fly if you have them.

I have an old RC plane. I flew it once and crashed it.

They're cool and all, but not for me.

I once had a Kadet Seniorita and some kind of high tech remote I got as a gift many years ago from my uncle. Never got around to building it...instead sold it to someone for cash after i graduated from HS for after party money to blow on booze.

                best decision evar!

Years later got into the RC car scene with my WRX Sti from the late 90's. Was an awesome little machine, but once I was done building it I got bored of it and it gathered dust in a cupboard. That also got sold to some dude who wanted to build it up with his son.

Since then I've focused my time and $ to real cars and motorcycles
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

This is my story. Except I had 3 propellers so I crashed it 3 times.

Flown RC since I was a kid. I mostly fly gas stuff tho. Currently have this 1974 vintage carl goldberg Skylark 56 with enlarged control surfaces, less dihedral and an engine wayyy to big for it.
