I don't know about you guys but the only thing I like to do on my fixie is wheelies and ride super fast. I personally don't get the point of trackstands for like 40234598 minutes. To me that's not fun. But more power to you guys.
That means that you cannot do one. Because if you could, you would understand. :firehop:

So I was just walking out my back door to ride my bike and I find this tripod sitting on the planter near my stairs. The story is, there is a handyman that works on all of the units in my apartment building. I bumped into him about a week ago when I was coming home with my camera and shitty tripod and he asked if I wanted one that he found in a tenants apartment that had just moved out. I said sure why not, figuring it was probably a piece of shit.
Did I catch some cards on this one? This thing seems pretty damn nice for a freebee. It stands roughly 7 feet tall, and is solid as hell...no way it would shake. I'm no camera pro so if anyone knows please chime in.
I figured I would post in this thread since my bike was in the kitchen.
Note my puny little tripod below the nice new one :).
Some bike sechs. That's my lady's vintage motobecane in the back.
Guys like him are the reason I love it when people do things to their cars that are different. It just like anytime Karlo posts a thread with pics of his car, I love watching all the elitist pricks on this site shit their pants when they see an E30 that doesn't fit their standards.
So I got my bike together today. First time riding fixed so I have brake. Rode it six miles from my friends house to school. that was a fuckin adventure. Half the time I was getting used to the feel. Its such a whore to clip in on a fixed.
But i loved every fuckin second of it.
I tried to skid, got a good couple feet on my neighbors driveway. I was close to balls on stem. But I got a question, I was skidding and during the skid I was pushing my rear foot down, lifting my front foot and it felt like for a second it backpedaled.
Bad? or is it just coz not enough weight was on the rear wheel.
You probably just took too much weight off the rear. You don't want to be pushing your back foot down, just lock your legs, with your back foot pointed toward the back of the bike. And clipping in gets easier, trust me.
