If the weapons (any kind) ban goes into effect, i'll do everything I can to buy a weapon ahead of it. I don't support guns, but I don't support government disarming citizens even more.

It's disturbing that a government with a military and bombs would want citizens to give up any weapons. What about those who won't? If Obama was in touch with his "black" roots, he'd know where the most people get killed. He'd know that it's not legal registered weapons that are responsible for Philadelphia, St. Louis, Phoenix, Gary (Chicago neighbor, mind you) shootings. Why would you disarm level headed people who wait to get permits?

What's next after guns are gone? Whole premises for second amendment was so people could overthrow abusive government, like the founding fathers did.

The reason we have the 2A is not only to have the ability to field a well equipped militia (not that I am one of those army wannbes) but to have the to defend our selves form a tyrannical GOVT!!!!!!!! Its one of the many things to help keep the federal govt from over stepping its bounds. Thus those of us that wish to keep such weapons should be able too.

Exactly. Prices were so high during the last AWP. Anyone who wants in should get them before they skyrocket in price. Obama and Clinton are nothing alike. Clinton I can understand, Obama I cannot. why does that sound so crazy? because we've become so comfortable and complacent? I don't think it's neccesarily an attack on our lives that people are afraid of - I think it's the severe erosion of our rights.

just look back at history and see how many times it has happened for real. And think about some of the laws GWB passed in his 8 years (which basically mean the government can spy on and detain anyone for any reason). Why does it seem so far fetched that the goverment could get out of control?
