You seem to have more love of country for Some place you dont live. So GO LIVE THERE, you dont like it here, and America is so evil and fucked up, go somewhere else. This has nothing to do with you being brown it has everything to do with your actions and perspective. You could be purple, Vermilion, green, or spotted it dose not matter.

Thats not racist thats common sense

Well, because St. Patrick is a Catholic/Christian icon, has not to do with Ireland.

Telling someone if they don't like the standards to go somewhere else if that's the case is not racist, it's a statement of personal satisfaction, if you don't like it, then fuck off.

A whole lot of the comments in this thread have made me feel really sorry for the future of our country.

You're definately not using that "common sense" cause....
#1: Wearing an American flag t-shirt is NOT a negative message. And you're absolutely judging them by having such a notion.

#2: I didn't say you said the kids were bad, cause you never said so in the first place...But what you did say was "trust me im sure those kids must have done something to get suspended, not just wear an american flag." I guess my question should've been, what was it that they must have done prior? that i don't know, but you apparently are so sure of, since you're not judging, you know for a fact.
btw; the kids weren't suspended, they were sent home

#3: I'll advice you to go talk to the "VP or something" (i know you get a kick outta tht;)) to get some facts, before making anymore conclusions.

I didnt read the whole thread, so this might have been already said, but I think its just another media spin on the real story, get people all hyped up and patriotic, unite against the evil foreigners and authorites, etc.

                  That makes sense!

oh go cry someplace else. no one holds you to any standard on a internet forum, your not writing a fucking paper for your masters on r3v.

also st. pats day isnt anything to me besides a funky green outfit and green beers. cinco de mayo was nothing more to me than a sweet stache and one of them crazy sombreros and tequila. 90% of the population in America doesn't give a shit about them beyond trivialities because they arn't american holidays.

if those latino students thinks this country owes them something, they're in the wrong country.

most of my chinese friends and family wear western clothing instead of traditional during Chinese New Years in chinatown and the citizens there didn't get their panties up in a bunch.

honestly, I don't see anything wrong with celebrating another country's heritage. Sending someone home because they wore an American flag is downright silly though.

Please explain to me what is racist about telling some one to go back where there from? Let me guess you'll play the race card as much as you can but when something comes up you put down your race.........

Wait wait wait... the media is against foreigners? Since when? That's far to off-liberal base for all of the media or even one news source (if that's all that covered the story) to start pushing.

Having gone to a heavy Latino populated school, I'll let you know that this shit does happen and some of these Latino kids need a re-education one where they live.

Question's for any Latino's that feel like responding (thanks in advance):

                          1. Why so proud of Mexico?
                          2. Why the need to move to violence if some kids wear American flags (when we're in America) on "your" day?
                          3. What's the purpose behind Cinco De Mayo? (Everyone in WA just celebrates because it's fun - not sure why this has to be such a big deal?)
                          Need a part? PM me.

When a black guy calls me a cracker (even though I'm fairly brown in the summer), I don't get all ass hurt about it despite that it's a derogitory term. Why? Because I could care less. I don't hate ANYONE because of the color of their skin. It's skin. Who cares. I have a severe distaste of people because they are assholes. ASSHOLES. Claiming racism at every turn makes you an asshole. Not being able to shrug off someone else, usually a stranger's opinion of you, makes you an asshole. What the hell does it matter? Did they reject your job application? Funny, I've had mine rejected not because I wasn't qualified but because of "Affirmative Action". Which is what? Disqualifying me despite qualifications because of the COLOR OF MY SKIN. Crazy, huh? Same with college applications. Don't preach racism when it's not part of this conversation beyond your insecurity about the color of your skin.

I understand and respect your point of view, but when someone says, "goddamn the weather sucks here!" and someone replies with "THEN GO BACK TO MEXICO YOU FUCK!!!1," it can be called prejudice or "fed up," but we know that racism is right across the border. No pun indented. Calling someone a wetback, or a "brown illegal waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles," as jrhaile put is is clearly a racially derogatory term. My mom's family were called guinea's, dago's, greasers their whole life, because they were the equivalent of ****** and spic, and people didn't want them around, even though they were "white" and no longer spoke Italian. I hate hearing the race card too, but sometimes it isn't the race card. Sure we can have the whole "we're all human" race argument, but that hardly means shit to anyone.

Sorry Mr.Sleeve, I guess I should have clarified that you were being racially stereotypical and not racist....

I didn't read everyone's posts - but I should be able to burn a mexican flag any day I want. It's my right. Moreover, I can and I will wear an American flag whenever I please - and I will not be removed from a public place in America for doing so.

IMO this isn't a matter of race - it's an example of injustice. That's something I will not tolerate.
