Not all people of faith or Christians are as you describe. The wack jobs that get "born again" are I think what you talk about.

Even in the bible God speaks about these people. Calling them scum of the earth. Hippocrates.

I was raised with the Christian faith, but don't practice it or go to church. I have seen amazing people that give so much of themselves to help others in the name of religion. And I have seen those that associate themselves with the religion, professing, but living a lie.


I feel there is a higher power that created everything. Something had to. I would be the doubting Tomas and I would probably ask to see the hands of Jesus if he stood before me.

I also look to science for proof.

Everyone has some sort of faith no matter who you are. For people to bash one's religion is pretty lame. I live under the rule, dont fuck with me and I will not fuck with you. Religion the same way.

I bet 99% of the people here have never read the bible. Though most will say they have. Not many have studied the bible but are quick to point out things, using parts out of context. I do get pissed at that.

The bible as well as other books of faith have good morals to the story. If you can pick those out and "try" to live your life around them I feel you will be a better person in the end.

well thats the argument I guess that also encompasses nature vs. nurture . You can't be born any of those things but you can be born gay.

i disagree, many people argue that they can't help their murderous/pedophilic/animal loving selves because they were born that way. being born with a inclination do something doesn't make it moral.

i have never heard of something living, come from something non living. it is scientifically impossible for something alive to come from something non-living.

that is why i believe their is a God. Because they idea that nothing exploded and created everything, doesn't fit scientifically.

And the line is drawn when your actions hurt other people/animals. If you are a murderer, your actions hurt other people. If you are a pedophile, your actions hurt other people that are not old enough to consent. If you fuck animals, the animal has no way of consenting. Being gay is nothing like this because your actions don't hurt other people.
