dude, you just dont get it. they are not looking for acceptance, I dont think they care about acceptance from anyone, especially you or me. They pay the same taxes as you and I do, they should have the right to be looked at equally with the same govt rights and privelages as you and I have, even if you choose not to use them yourself, atleast you have the choice. And who gives a shit what the religious loons think, why should they be forcing their bullshit and their life style down our throats?

What makes you think it's just the religious loons? Josh isn't religious yet he is against gay 'marriage'.

You will profile Christians to no end yet you are against the AZ law. Doesn't compute.

It's you who don't get it. Gays have the same exact rights we currently do minus the fact we need to somehow allow them to serve in the military so they can't shower with the sex they are attracted to.

you are correct, they have the same exact rights as the rest of us, with the exception of social security survivor benefits, spousal benefits, legal benefits such as the right to not testify against one's spouse, and about 1100 legal rights that you and I have that have been granted to us based on marital rights satatus that civil union status does not cover.

so what is your specific objection with gay marriage, you do realize that if you are tired of hearing about it the easiest way to make it go away is to legalize it.

They have those rights, they just have to marry like nature and marriage were meant to be. Man and woman or woman and man. They have the same rights. What they are asking for is an exception to those rights.

One doesn't give up morality because they are tired of hearing about it.

Now you get it, the homos are doing the same thing by having a hissy fit about marriage, they have been offered Civil unions in most states but NOOOOOO thats not good enough because they cant slam their Life style into the face of vast majority of society if they have a different name. even though the core of what they say they want (the same rights as traditional couples) just shows the real agenda of it all, or they would have taken the civil union.

the point is who says marriage has to be between a man and a woman? You can not use the bible as reference for morality due to a little thing called seperation of church and state.

again, civil union does not allow the same legal rights as marriage. try this

When has marriage ever been anything but with a man and a woman? Till the 60's of course...
                          That's enough.
Shit I want to marry animals, what's the problem there? I want equal rights!! And what about that sister or cousin. And shit why not your own mom. Or Dad.

you are aware that homos married in IA or CA or VT or where ever, their licenses are not recognized by most other states, arent you. Thanks to a bill from the clinton era

If you want to look at it that way, then CA IA and all the other states that have a Gay "marriage" deal want the rest of the states to recognize those unions They should have to have a accept the CCW permits of all the other states or the Veterinarian Licensees of other states, or the Bar exam from other states ect ect...

If they get a federal "civil union" bill passed there would be no argument. If they were to go about it as such they would find much less resistance to the idea. Because like it or not this country was /is founded by a bunch of religious people and the bulk of the people here still hold those morals that Marriage for 1000's of years has been defined as Man+woman = Marriage. If the gay community were to approach it from a civil union or domestic partner ship, rainbow ceremony, perspective I would more than bet it would pass on through with little no resistance even at the federal level.

I do find it funny/sad that the first thing you think of when arguing against gay marriage is beastiality. With beastiality so close the front of your mind I can only assume that you fuck sheep, do you fuck sheep? or is it the family dog? Who in a million fucking years would ever think of marrying an animal?
