A regression analysis starts at the end point and goes backward until it stops being statistically significant
So no 1995 is not cherry picked, it's where the current flatline ends
At a time period where co2 has gone up, we were told the arctic would be ice free and the world was headed into oblivion
And we have all agreed the earth is/has been warming
We don't agree why
But apparently man is not the driver“There is nothing government can give you that it hasn’t taken from you in the first place”

I have a theory that envirosceptics are also probably religious conservatists too. People who will not accept that human-induced global warming is even possible as they religiously believe that mankind can't alter "God's creation". Probably the same people who preach Creationism, claiming that evolution is wrong as it is "just a theory". There might even be a link between Creationists and envirosceptics (Global warming also being "only a theory")... ;-)Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

So not religion then but people's personal beliefs? Are you claiming certain churches or, say, Baptists or Buddhists believe this way because of teachings from their source texts? Or where are you getting this idea from? And just American?Comment

However many of them won't really admit that and resort to pretending they understand the science so they can try to undermine support for continued research and deny any effort to create policy that could mitigate or reduce the effects of GW.Comment
