I'm not surprised. I know wrapping your mind around the fact that others on this earth can think is difficult. You thought you were the only one.

Judging by what you post generally that's not terribly surprising though, is it?

        You genius.

hahahahaha. You obviously missed that I said that because the image size above was 5000 x 5000 making the tits huge. I wouldn't expect you to catch that though.

I just think it's funny that a "national" poll of 2,200 people should mean anything to anyone regardless of where the sample comes from.

ITT people in denial and rejecting the findings of a poll because it's a slap in the face.

              That's how surveys/polls work though.

                Hey, I just read you,
                This is crazy.
                Here's the data: http://www.nsf.gov/statistics/seind1...pter-7/c07.pdf
                Use facts maybe?

Public Knowledge about S&T starts on Page 20.
"Science and Engineering Indicators has been assessing Americans’ knowledge about science and technology since 1979" People who don't finish HS are least likely to get answers correct, as well as people over 65. The public knowledge of science has not changed much over the last two decades, but has improved some since 1979. Believe it or not, the poll is repeated with similar results each time, including when other people like Pew conduct it.

Check out Table 7-8 for comparisons to other nations...

The unscientific attacks at each other based on speculation or assumptions in the thread is about as sad as the guy who didn't know a random pool of 2000+ respondents gives a pretty good data set for a nation.

Here is the quiz. I aced it. I knew number 8 for a weird reason, but my biology knowledge is generally weak.

Slightly different questions at pewresearch. I aced that one too.

                        You had a good teacher.

I had a 2nd grade teacher that told us the earth's axis actually tilted (not that it was tilted, but that the axis itself moved) and that's why we had seasons. Close, but no cigar..

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around why we don't just get flung off the Earth since it's spinning so fast. God is good I guess.
