    Exactly.

    I work for a $1xx,xxx,xxx company owned by a multi-billion conglomerate.

Guess what I get for the rest of the year? At least 80 hours of furlough and a possible plant shutdown the last week of the year. Missing 3 weeks of pay over the next 3 months is not going to be pleasant.

It doesn't really affect me since I live well below my means but lots of guys on the production floor who are just CNC guys or forklift drivers living paycheck to paycheck are going to be in serious trouble.

And all this shit about poor people working harder, has it not occurred to you that running a cash register at Wal-Mart, or driving a forklift in a factory, or digging ditches for the city is LITERALLY the highest they are capable of?

The most insidious thing about trickle-down economics is not the claim that if the rich get richer, everyone is better off. It is the claim made by those who oppose any increase in the minimum wage that if the poor get richer, that will be bad for the economy.

Like I said the 1st time, its all what you compare it to.
It's not a fact when you make up the numbers on the spot, but it is an irrelevant comparison for the purpose of this discussion.

Clearly you've never faced hardship, or been outside your little bubble. Until you understand how economics works, may I suggest you stay in it.

I don't claim to be an economics scholar, I was responding to the comment about the absolute limit of these workers ability and I call bullshit on that.

Again not making shit up as you like to think. Sorry its been a long time since reading that state, Our poorest fall with in the top 30% of income earners compared globally at about 10k a year.

Your the one trying to say I am making an argument, I am not, I am pointing out a fact no more no less.......

I used to "dig ditches" for a living and in some respects I still do. I made a decent living when I was doing the "digging" (20+ bucks an hour full benefits and pension is nothing to scoff at when your 18-28 ) and I make a much better living now that have that experience to help me into my current position with construction QA/QC...... With all the OT I can stand, its all about how you hire out and pointing at the trades as dead end and as "stupid people" work just shows that you have never had any experience in the trades, there is a lot of thinking involved with "digging ditches", as very rarely are 2 situations the same especially in urban areas. Its not rocket science but I have seen many a "educated man" fail miserably at it

Like I said, it's not a "fact" if you can't even be arsed to get the information right.

Congratulations for making an incoherent, rambling rant that has absolutely nothing to do with what I (or anyone else) said.

Everyone here thinking walmart workers get it bad, try a minimum wage job at a stealership. They might as well rape you in the ass and ask you to pay for it.

Hey I am not going to dot I's and cross all my T's for a quick post when I can get it close

I am fairly sure digging ditches aka trades work was not something that pays well and is poor/stupid people work. When in reality its much more lucrative than that
