I work for a $1xx,xxx,xxx company owned by a multi-billion conglomerate.
Guess what I get for the rest of the year? At least 80 hours of furlough and a possible plant shutdown the last week of the year. Missing 3 weeks of pay over the next 3 months is not going to be pleasant.
It doesn't really affect me since I live well below my means but lots of guys on the production floor who are just CNC guys or forklift drivers living paycheck to paycheck are going to be in serious trouble.
And all this shit about poor people working harder, has it not occurred to you that running a cash register at Wal-Mart, or driving a forklift in a factory, or digging ditches for the city is LITERALLY the highest they are capable of?
